About the event

While this event is FREE, we do suggest a nominal donation of $10 which will go towards the purchase of books that align with the Layers of Black History Mission. In lieu of a monetary donation, feel free to either: Order from our Amazon Wishlist or Bring a new/gently used book that aligns with our mission that highlights diverse authors and characters. (There is a huge need for Toddlers: Age 0-3, Teens, and Young Adult books.) Join us for an enlightening hike at Boyd Big Tree Preserve Conservation Area Creek Trail, focusing on mental health and the connection with nature. This 2-mile walk will encourage attendees to "Get Comfortable With Being Uncomfortable." Whether you're pushing your proposed physical limits, or growing through conversations that expand your network: We encourage you to join us and to spend time with nature and community.
